Women's Studies and the Internet
volume 27 numbers 1 and 2

In the rush to develop the internet, little time or energy has been devoted to the proper recording and analysis of the history of its development, and in particular the role of women and the internet's impact on Women's Studies. Women are using the internet and related technology in a multitude of ways in spite of efforts, both overt and subtle, to discourage women's acquisition of the power of technological knowledge. The articles in this issue of RFR/DRF are the result of two annual roundtables on Women's Studies and the Internet sponsored by the Centre for Women's Studies in Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto. They represent the diversity of interests women have in various aspects of the internet.
