An experiential workshop on how to work
with the concept of Inclusive Cultural Empathy (ICE) in Counselling.

9.00- 9.30 Registration and coffee
9.30 -10-30 Introduction to ICE
10.30- 11.30 'Live' Demonstration using the Triad Training Model
as a platform to learn ICE by Paul Pedersen
11.30 - 12.00 Discussion
12.00 - 1.00 LUNCH
1.00 - 2.00 Group work (participants into four person groups
and each group tries on ICE for a 5 minute interview). Discussion.
2.00 - 3.15 Short paper presentations: Working with empathy in
multicultural and diversity counselling.
3.15 - 3.30 Coffee
3.30 - 4.30 Debriefing and formulating action plans for using
1. Understand ICE
2. Learn to be more inclusive with feedback from an anticounselor
3. Adapt the training to back home situations
