Custom Designed Services  

In collaboration with schools, districts, organizations, foundations and the Ontario Ministry of Education, programs are developed to meet specific needs.

Current custom designed services include:

  • 2nd Annual Assessment for Learning Institutes: Lorna Earl and Steven Katz show educators how to become comfortable with data and provide valuable tools for school improvement teams. Damian Cooper also explores the purpose of assessment, manageable assessment strategies and balanced assessment ideas.

  • 3rd Annual Law Works: This Education Law Institute is co-sponsored by Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, the Toronto District School Board, the Toronto Catholic District School Board and managing partner, OISE.

Recent custom designed services include:

  • 1st Annual Assessment for Learning Institute: Damian Cooper, author of "Talk About Assessment", explores the purpose of assessment, manageable assessment strategies, and balanced assessment ideas.

  • Enhancing Student Success: For independent school educators, this Institute integrates many aspects of research and best practice together for enhancing student success.

  • S.T.A.R.S.: This long-term project with Chicago Public Schools builds the capacity of school leadership teams.

  • Impact Math: This professional development program helps teachers by expanding knowledge and developing necessary skills to implement the new curriculum.

  • Taking Stock in Your Future: A powerful learning opportunity to help teachers introduce financial literacy skills into their classrooms.

  • Secondary Reform: This four-year initiative was designed to build the capacity of School Implementation Teams from over 800 secondary schools to put policy and curriculum reform in effect.

  • Leadership Development and Mentoring: Training and resources are provided for numerous district school boards and universities, with areas of focus including leadership skills for renewal strategies, facilitation skills and mentoring programs.

  • Bryan Leadership Development Initiative: A 5-year leadership development program in Greensborough, North Carolina.

  • Institutes: Leading-edge sessions that provide powerful, relevant learning, these institutes recognize the need for educators to be flexible and adaptable life-long learners and offer excellent networking opportunities.
