Impact Math

This professional development program, focusing on grades 7 and 8 mathematics, is helping teachers by expanding knowledge and developing necessary skills to implement the new curriculum. The project, funded by the Ontario Ministry of Education, will influence the teaching and learning of over 10,000 teachers in Ontario. The program included:

• an intensive training for a provincial cadre of 10 teachers
• train the trainer
• sessions for 600 trainers development of trainer manuals and 5 teacher resource modules
• research and evaluation of the in-service prototype
